Food safety projects in Africa

The GFSP report reveals that more than half of the donor-funded food safety projects in Sub-Saharan Africa (SSA) emphasis on export markets and hence food safety issued regarding African consumers are not tackled.

Food Safety in Africa

Food safety is linked either directly or indirectly to the fulfilment of the SDGs, to ending hunger and poverty, promoting good health and well-being. There is no food security without food safety.
