Waste procedure: general information

The waste procedure is as follows: check the frequency of the disposal of waste and the colour or coding of containers or bags and procedure! We have corporate responsibility for the environment. For these reasons, we separate, where possible, our waste.

Types, inorganic, organic waste and trademark waste

The following waste types are separated:

Types of inorganic waste:

• The cardboard and the plastic are collected separately and picked up weekly.
• Metal, glass, electric appliances, and dangerous materials are also collected, separated and disposed of.
• The other waste is collected in mobile waste containers.
• The waste containers are emptied daily.
• The waste containers are recognizable with their large blue garbage bags. With these, the waste containers stay clean and never or barely need to be cleaned on the inside.
• The outside of the containers is cleaned daily.
• The garbage bags are collected outside in a large container which is emptied weekly.

Types of organic waste:

• The waste is removed from the production area daily.
• Storage space is separated from the production site in coded containers. Organic waste of animal origin in CAT 3 containers if applicable (or CAT 2 or 1 depending on applicable legislation). These containers are marked.
• Storage is done in a cooled room.
• Containers are closed and stored separately from other products (end products, semi-finished products, raw materials) to prevent cross-contamination. Separately means in a separate room or in a designated area with enough distance from the storage of other products.
• Containers are cleaned after emptying.
• A record is kept of the removed organic waste.

Types of trademark waste:

• There must be a statement from the waste processor that trade mark waste is not reused.
• It must be neatly recorded how much trade mark waste is removed and destroyed.

Records of disposal are kept. The waste is disposed of according to legal standards and only collected by licensed suppliers.
